Three Poems

The Presence

he was nice,
even on the eyes,
and he looked like someone
i loved when i turned fifteen.

nostalgia comes from everywhere,
fuels my everything:
i love this song
and i love this boy
because i used to.

Visible Sins

i crush all of my thoughts-
seizing the fleeting-
putting the past right back into me.

my arm looks like a brand new mood ring.

green for envy
and blue for broken.
black and purple,
both pathetic.
yellow is yellow.

when my skin fades back
to it’s dowdy, cloudy white,
i’ll know
i’m numb
again.

Ebb/Flow

i would
rather
drown with
you than
accept
a life
jacket
from some
other
person.

  1. Is it enough to tell you that I think this is beautiful? I feel like I need more adjectives to express my wonder
